Surface work status
Overview
Socratic provides comprehensive status information for any body of work. Just ask, "What's the status of [epic, initiative, etc]?" The result shows an executive summary of:
- Progress to date
- Change over the past 2 weeks
- Any potential bottlenecks, including:
- Long-running issues, which is any that have been in active work for 60 days or more
- Stalled tasks, which is any with no movement in the past 30 days
- Resource bottlenecks, which is anyone with high resource contention (i.e., assigned work outside the body in question).
Below the executive summary, Socratic provides further detail and intelligence on:
- Stalled and blocked issues
- Forecast time to complete
- Work momentum
- Resource contention
How it works
Socratic analyzes work activity in real-time to provide a complete picture of where work stands, who's responsible, and what's happened recently. The aim is to skip past all the legacy manual effort of status gathering, and let you get straight to solving anything that needs attention.
Types of questions you can ask
You can ask about the status by title:
"What is the status of the User Authentication epic?"
You can ask about the status by key:
"What is the status of ENG-133?"
Reading the results
Socratic provides a comprehensive natural language summary of the work item's status, including all relevant details and context. The agent also provides graphs for forecast, momentum, and resource contention. For issues, a summary of worked time, assignees and statuses is provided.
