See work changes over time

Overview

Socratic shows you at a glance what has changed for a body of work (epic), project, person or team over a period of time you choose.

How it works

For the change analysis, Socratic looks at work that…

  • Moved forward
  • Moved backward
  • Completed
  • Issues added (for epics only: this indicates scope increases)
  • Had no change

… for the period in question.

Types of questions you can ask

  • "What did the Frontend team do last week?"
  • "What did Sarah do last month?"
  • "What changed in the "New Website" epic last month?"
  • "What changed in ENG-133 epic last week?"
  • "What changed in the Engineering project last month?"
  • "What work moved forward in the Engineering project last week?"
  • "What work moved backward in the Engineering project last week?"

Reading the results

Socratic provides a natural language summary of what changed for the period specified. It also provides a sheet with a list of issues that:

  • Moved forward
  • Moved backward
  • Were completed
  • Had no change
  • Were added during the period (epics only)

For issues that moved it also includes the from/to status. For completed issues it includes total time worked. For issues with no change, the time in status is included.
